Lindsey had to go in for her monthly check-up at the OB yesterday. The only thing different about yesterday’s visit was that she had to take the dreadful glucose test which consists of sucking down a really sweet flat orange drink. For those of you that don’t know, this test is used to determine if you have or are at risk of contracting gestational diabetes which only occurs in pregnant women and only lasts the length of the pregnancy. This pretty much says that your body just can’t break down sugar the way it is supposed to and you either have to drastically change your diet or you can get put on insuline. If the tests come back positive, you are at risk for having an over weight baby and the risk of your baby and you contracting diabetes later on in life is increased. Good news. Lindsey got the phone call this morning that everything is kosher. The number that they got back for her was 102. According to the doctor, as long as the count is below 160 you’re okay so she is definitely on the right track.

We will be going to get the 4-D Ultrasound done in 2 weeks (March 20). This is the one thing I’ve been waiting for the whole time. We’re definitely pumped about that. Here is a good site with some pictures of 4-D scans done before.
